I currently do freelance work when at home in Portugal but have a seasonal job helping to manage a nature reserve in the Falkland Islands in the south Atlantic. This is where the majority of my photographs are taken. It is a fantastic place for photograph with great light, weather and scenery.

In the Falklands I spend the majority of my time on New Island. New Island is situated in the far west of the Falklands, and has been set up as a conservation area and nature reserve. You can find out more about New Island Here

Scanning method of film: The easiest, and most affordable way of getting good quality prints out of this medium is using digital technology. I currently use a Canon FS4000US colour film scanner, which has a maximum resolution of 4000dpi @ 42bit. This gives very good quality reproduction and prints can be reproduced at a maximum size of A3 from 35mm film, and significantly larger for medium format.

There are three choices of digital output from the printers I use: LED output, SRP output, and 30" Chromira print output - the former being the cheapest, and the latter being of the highest quality. There are 3 choices of paper surface with output on the Chromira printer: Gloss, Lustre and Metallic - Gloss and Metallic produce a high colour saturation, high quality print which is excellent for the landscape prints I produce.

If you are interested in purchasing a print, all of these formats of output are available. Please contact me for size and pricing details
